Product Features

First water-resistant MDF fully made of acacia afforested wood

Although Customwood by Daiken New Zealand (DNZ) and other preceding MDF products made of softwood afforested wood had already been marketed, Tekwood-A became the first water-resistant MDF made of acacia afforested wood. This product uses sustainable materials in place of tropical hardwood, considering concerns about its future depletion.

High bending strength

This product has high bending strength close to that of lauan plywood. This bending strength enables its use for special bed frames.

High size stability

This product achieves higher size stability than conventional general-purpose MDF. It hardly becomes wavy due to humidity; therefore, its use has become easier for furniture backboards, kitchen end panels, and other parts that require water resistance.

High surface smoothness

MDF has higher surface smoothness compared to plywood; therefore, it is easier to use as a sheet base material. It is unlikely to cause size changes and warping even in a rough environment (high temperature and humidity) and is, therefore, widely used for cabinets and fittings.

High freedom of performance design

MDF offers design freedom owing to the leeway in strength. In response to customer requests, proposals can be made for size stability, weight reduction, etc.
